Hi John,
The Chinese seem to be ploughing many millions of dollars into railway projects all over Africa. I just wonder whether they ever learnt anything from the Tazara experience.

Great shots of 3020, John. Takes me back to my young days spent in Dodoma when this class of loco was a common site. These pics just seem to capture the atmosphere of Africa.

Blimey ! Seems to be enough spare cylinders, steel tyres, boiler parts, superheater elements, etc. to keep the steamers going for the next two centuries. Probably more than enough bits to build a new loco.
