Soetandal - Wellington

Post by Stefan Andrzejewski »

The road out of Wellington runs next to the railway line for many km's. These two photos were taken whilst driving. Its worse than been on your cell phone.

I like both these shots because they're unusual. The first is an unusual subject - seven locos running light engine. The second is an unusual angle - I love the way the dry crop in the field truncates the train. Thanks for sharing, and congratulations for capturing these rare moments.

In your first picture . . . .

A lash-up of 6E/1's, of which no fewer than 4 locomotives are "lit" to tow another 3 "dead" locos! No wonder there is a shortage of electricity in SA. Seems ESKOM needs to do a bit of load-shedding on TFR????
