Monte Vista Station near Cape Town

Monte Vista Station near Cape Town

Monte Vista is 15 km from Cape Town. Situated on the main line north of Cape Town. All the Shozaloza and other Main Line passenger trains plus the normal Metro and interurban Metro run through here. Freight from the docks and Montegue Gardens hauled by Class 36 Diesels can also be seen. Steam is sadly all but gone.

Looks OK. I lived in the Cape for 4 years - and do not remember this station at all!
