Automatic Pedestrian rail crossing in Muizenberg

Post by allanroy »

This is a Automatic Pedestrian rail crossing in Muizenberg bell rings and then the gates close when a train is approaching. It has a cctv camera watching the crossing, not sure if its manned or even working though.

Obviously not Gauteng! No one has stolen the gate motor!

I will go take a photo showing the whole building. Its been renovated and is now coffee shop but still retains the old signage from way back.

Hi.

From the signage I would guess that it used to be chemist shop.

Cheers

here is a photo showing the whole building, these are old signs and non of these shops are still in the building.

Sadly today when I went to take the photo someone had been run over by a train and I presumed killed on the other side of muizenburg station.
