The locos are 1969 on the Port Elizabeth to Utinhage and 1566 on the goods heading towards Port Elizabeth.

All were taken on 17 May 1975

Really valuable historic pictures, Ian. Thank you for sharing them. I have done basic some colour cast removal and level corrections, then re-posted them. But, overall, I am not sure that I do not prefer the originals as they were, complete with the colour cast. They somehow seem all the more nostalgic for that.

Thanks for the enhancements, I think the blue cast comes from my desire to bring up the details of the motion and wheels which are often obscured by the bright sunlight in the originals
