Hi All
I have added a new collection of the filthiest locos to operate on BR, the WD 2-8-0's, nearly every photo i have seen they all look the same unclean & filthy.

Great pictures. Once again the '60s backdrops are almost as good as the engines. The signal gantry in the far background of the first picture is impressive. There's one of 90190 showing the smoke hood over the stack in the roundhouse, and an interesting view of 90297's footplate without the tender. As for 90367 hauling an EMU, well, it just shows that there's a precedent for Pendolinos being hauled by diesels! I love the grimy locos - in preservation we keep our locos far too clean.

The photos over 2500 were given to me by Tony Gillett who was a driver/fireman at Lostock Hall Preston in the 1960's

Thanks, Neil (and Tony!), for sharing these photos - a collection of 2,500 photos from an old driver is a tremendous resource.
