Trainman of old

Post by Chris Janisch »

Once upon a time in the seventies, there lived a sexy young fireman named Nathan. As one can see from the hilarious hairstyles and clothing, times were different then. Gay abandon was the rule. And we still miss those good old days!

3127 was our regular loco at Capital Park. I have one cabside and Cliff, the other. The lower picture was taken at Pyeramid South shunt, and the character on the left was an American railfan, whose name I forget, brought out to us by Peter Rogers who now resides in Cape Town. In fact he took this picture. The famous "Crunch ystew" footplate stew was on this day!!
