Road Transport Sign

Spotted this still standing the other day! How old would it be?

Who still remembers the old SARS road transport services? The truck with mini cabs for passengers? The buses with trailers? The specialised transport vehicles? The three wheeled horses?

The RMT depot where they used to maintain the vehicles used to be just across the railway lines from our appy school in Braamfontein. It was always a hive of activity and I remember those trucks they had and the strange luggage trailers that the buses used to tow. I am sure that depot must be used for something nowadays. Did they shut RMT down? or was it outsourced?
Not quite on the rails.

I remember the Road Transport sign at Wolseley. The bus transport ran to Ceres and Prince Alfred Hamlet. There was a line to Ceres but not for passengers. It is now closed and Wolseley station only used for the daily Metro to Worcester. Shoz Meyl doe not stop there anymore.
