I have, after pondering over this for more than a year!, finally completed an "under construction" entry for "Skukuza" on the "old STEAM LOCOMOTIVES in South Africa" blog. Perhaps I was prompted to complete this entry by Kevin's unusual picture of no 3638 under the roof in the Selati "station". Great use of the telephoto compression effect!
The above mentioned blog entry has photos of the "Skukuza" locomotive dating back as far as 1978, and shows the locomotive shunted around in 4 different locations over the years.
