Metros in Touwsriver
Metros in Touwsriver
On the way to Jhb we went past this workshop in Touws river that appeared to be repairing Metro trains. Anyone know why they repaired so far from where the metro trains are used.

That open Metro set with the guards van section looks great. Probably use it for running to Simonstown on good days as a sun/observation deck. Well done Metro Cape!!!!!!!

It would be unique. This operation is run by a lady who restores Metro's. All the labour is from the surrounding area. Craig Duckham will be able to give you more info on this project.

That is something metro rail has not even looked at, using the scenic line for special tourist trains in season. Sadly the Simons Town line is still closed and no one is even working on the lineNathan Berelowitz wrote:That open Metro set with the guards van section looks great.
