Shosholoza Meyl
Shosholoza Meyl
I did not manage to get many pictures of the inside without the family been in them. Here are two pics to give and idea of the colours inside of the passages and dining car.

Thanks for the interior pics... Nice to see that the train appears to be clean. However, Shlosh Meyl really could use an interior decorator/colour consultant. That purple seating in the dining car is a sight for sore eyes - not to be experienced with a morning hangover at breakfast! And as for the multi-colour BJ's Afro-freeze just beneath the ceiling, well!
"To train or not to train, that is the question"
Re: Shosholoza Meyl
The purple seating is through out the whole train. The train is very clean the passages got washed 3 times on the way to Jhb

Our Diner had curtains on the side and top so any multi colour picture rail was curtained out.
Re: Shosholoza Meyl
No curtains in our Diner and the windows still had the old badges on them with pull down blinds.

Yes, not exactly top class interior design but it sure shouts out SOUTH AFRICA. I like it! Good to see.

A photo of my daughter in the Dining Car, a slight upgrade perhaps. The coaches need an upgrade as the blue has been scraped off and the old formica shows.
