8E in Cape Town Station

8E in Cape Town Station

I found this photo of an 8E shunting in CT station. This photo was probably taken in the mid 1980's. We were leaving on a steam special to Simons Town. They withdrew them later to be replaced by Class 36's. This photo is fairly unique.

Interesting. And just look how 'clean' the station looks. And I don't mean litter.

Stefan, don't you maybe have some photos from the steam special?

Yes Luca . We went on the 19C Sandra that day. I thought I had posted them . They are old photos and will scan and post them.
