On Saturday the 14.00 from Rawtenstall to Heywood is seen soon after crossing the Roche viaduct and the motorway hauled by 70013 but now with Black 5 44871 as pilot. 

This was probably the first time these 2 locos had been in steam together since the last day of BR steam in August 1968 (they were both on the final train); the inclusion of a blue and grey coach was very appropriate as these were increasingly common in 1967/8.
