Interesting pictures! Presumably not German, and I think not Russian - unless a very early model.

There seems to be a certain jumped up WW1 corporal strutting around in some of the pictures

True - thats why I assumed it belonged to the opposition - otherwise I assume there would not have been that much interest!

There was an explanation attached to it online but it's so long ago that I can't remember. However I've just done a Google search for the file titles and found them on a Polish website here. It's in Polish, unfortunately.

Wait a minute - just found the "English" button on that website!
The page contains German photos of the Polish World War II armoured train Nr.13 (former "Generał Sosnkowski"), damaged by the German Stuka bombers on 10 September 1939 near Łochów station. It was apparently a popular "tourist attraction" for the German soldiers, and one of most often photographed armoured trains ever...

On 22 September 1939 the train was examined by A. Hitler

Reason: edited to add English information

Looks German enough for me. Is that not Hitler standing on the right in picture pp13wr9 ? Looks very much like him.

Yes, Steve. German photos of a Polish armoured train being visited by Hitler. See the quote from the Polish website.
