To add to this forum thread . .

I was out to Krugersdorp today for business, so I decided to leave a little earlier and follow the main-line west of Florida to Krugesdorp and take a few pictures of Multi-Colour Single lens aspect signal (or otherwise known as search light signals), as mentioned briefly below . . .

Interesting, both signals have the same set of route indicators, from top to right;

As shown on the lit down MainLine signal, the route is set for Randfontein and southward to Klerksdorp and beyong to CT.
Middle right un-lit route; for Waterval Goods Yard and Millsite Loco depot.
Far Right un-lit route; Down Mainline to Tarlton, Magaliesburg and beyond to Zeerust

The largest (routes) thet I have seen was at Cookhouse on the up main to PE. It has been vandalised.

Sorry I am new at this thing I also include the route indicator on the East London line which has access to more tracks and exceeds the capcity of the "Feather arms". Also looking in the up direction towards PE
