Very good ones will be moved to the Online Gallery, the rest will be pruned away after 14 days to conserve space. Roodeport Signal Cabiin

Taken yesterday. Secure and fenced off - in good condition (appearance wise at any rate).

I do not think this is in use anymore - there were always vehicles parked there up to about 18 months ago - since then it has been deserted.

48 lever frame controlling colour lights. Could be switched out.

Luipaardsvlei had a duplex frame. Not sure if this is still there either.

Well, shouted at the Roodepoort Cabin yesterday and found it had an operator inside! It is still working and apparently will be for some time. Leopards Rock is also in operation.

Both are run by Metro Rail - I was unable to take pictures as they are sticky over security. Will maybe try some time and get a permit.

Good news.

Both still using mechanical lever frames and not local panels?

Apparently. I could not get in, but the operator was happy to chat and this was what was conformed. Would it be worth the aggro of trying to organize possible photos?
