To the experts out there - is this a converted unit of some sorts - an ex Funkey or something similar?

I fondly remember the good ol' days, when GRC first opened, and the 2 ft gauge trains were hauled around by smart (black) ex-SAR NGG's, not by gaudy noddy diesels! But, then again, GRC was a real museum of sorts, not an over-hyped casino venue.
