Cannot believe the clock is still there.

Who maintains the station?

Is it used as restaurant or something?

Yes, it was quite a shocker to see the clock there. It is the cheaper perspex type, and the hands on the other side is missing. I'm also not sure whether it still works, as it was 40 behind the real time when I took the phote - did not hang around long enough to see whether it changed!!
It is situated in a little alcove and is not quite visible, unless you walk up to the old ticket office window.
But then again, Franschhoek seem to be quite a low-crime area with only restaurants, guest houses, a couple of shops and wine farms. A lot of "bergies", but no scrap dealers!!! That may explain a lot.

The station is being used as a tourism info bureau, and I guess they maintain it themselves - or the municipality. It would make a very nice reataurant though - especially on the platform side. I have a vague recollection of seeing little tables outside some time ago, but I may be mistaking it with another place. I travel around a lot.
