- Using Eric Samuel's booklet on Cullinan as a guide, I have managed to almost locate the exact spot in his photo. 100 years ago this year, that same train stood almost on this spot. The platform stone work can be seen under the built up concrete work of the new level. Sign boards have changed, but on a clear day, one can see the hillside in the background and where the pointwork converges

- The original platform level built over 100 years ago can easily be identified here. The current platform, to raise its height, was simply cast over the original stonework. In Eric Samuel's booklet on Cullinan, you can see a photo of a locomotive standing with a train at the original level
