BB40-9WM bound for Mozambique

Post by Mel Turner »

CLN (Corredor Logistico Integrado Nacala) is a 70/30% JV between Vale and CFM

GE are building 50 BB40-9WM for the JV

First 9 are completed and on the wharf

Compare the size of these Vale meter gauge sister units in Brazil, G12 563 alongside is similar in size to a 35 Class

Weight probably in the vicinity of 200 tonnes

Total of 50 to be shipped by September. Vale have an option on a further 37 for Moz delivery in 2015
