It is nice!
I have no further details - he took the photos in 2003 when he was there - he met someone in the morning who was learning for his steam ticket, and who invited him to see the engine.....
My friend is not a steam buff - just likes old things, so he has no further details !

3'6" gauge. Operates over the former Mt Lyell Mining & Railway Co. line from Strahan to Queenstown in Tasmania. There where five of these small North British built 0-4-2T ABT locomotives and I believe four survived into preservation.Dylan Knott wrote:What gauge is this?
The line was relaid with government assistance and is now a tourist operation called the ABT Wilderness Railway. They have returned at least three of these ABT loco's back into service.
Well worth the trip if you are ever in this part of the world.
Cheers

Really a great looking loco and railway set up. Must be a Green Taz Devil!
