Marc, I travelled on a diesel, presumably like this one, from Brisbane to Sydney about two years ago. A very pleasant trip indeed - about 14 hours if I remember rightly. I believe those particular diesels are similar to the British HST?

Did you take the first pics from a moving train?
The last pic is a corny station classic ! Moving people and a romantic couple who have just met, thanks to the rail system etc etc !

Yep, this is the type of train you travelled in to Brisbane.
