Sydney Tramway musem

Some pics taken in the weekend. The museum is located on the city's southern outskirts, and runs leisure trips into the neighboring national park, along an ex heavy rail line.

I love old trams. There's a tram museum in UK at Crich where trams run in nice countryside, and if I remember rightly trams also run at the open air Beamish Industrial Museum. But the best experience is probably Blackpool, where heritage trams run a normal service along the sea front between Blackpool and Fleetwood. It's being heavily renovated at the moment and I believe new trams will be coming on stream now, but the heritage trams will still run.

There's a bit of off-topic comment on the Blackpool system at http://www.friendsoftherail.com/phpBB2/ ... f=51&t=947
