Could you tell me the time it would have taken for a steam train in Cape Town to reach Matjiesfontein in 1925. Id you do not know the exact time an estimate would suffice. I wondered if it would have been possible then to travel the distance in one day and to return the next.

I am an author in Canada and my current book covers travels by train in and around Cape Town in 1925. I take it that in that year the local trains ran along the Peninsular.
