Seven Sudanese killed in bus-train crash

August 27, 2008 (KHARTOUM) — Seven people were killed and 33 wounded on
Wednesday in a collision between a bus and a train today afternoon in
southern Khartoum, Sudanese police said.
The accident happened at 02:45 pm (local time) while the bus was en route
to the town of Managil in El Gezira state in central Sudan, police said.
Police Maj. Gen. Ahmed Imam Mohamed Al-Tuhami said the bus driver tried to
cross the railway line before the approaching train.
He added that diver recklessness is the main cause of the incident.
