Sadly Class 12AR Susan was not able to do the trip to Magaliesburg on the 2nd of May, so the Class 25NC Elize did the trip instead. Lousy weather and all. Here she is on her way home.

There is a rumour that the 12 class dropped fusible plugs? Anyone heard?

Re: Magaliesburg 02 May
I heard unofficially that she blew a boiler tube, but have heard nothing officially from Reefsteamers. I hope whatever it is is not serious, with her down that means only Elize and Lyndie Lou are running. The more locos running the better.

Magaliesburg 30 May
Susan has suffered damage to some internal bits of her boiler and is "off the road". When I was there last week they were recaulking rivets and making an awful noise inside her. At one point there was small chance that she would have been condemned but it seems as if she will run again once her boiler has been recertified. In the meantime Reefsteamers is using 25NC Elize as their motive power and this is her at the head of the train today (30 May)
