Thirteen people had to be treated by paramedics after a steam train crashed on a narrow gauge railway in Berkshire.

The accident on Beale Railway in Beale Park, Pangbourne, happened shortly after 1300 BST on Saturday, South Central Ambulance said.

An adult and two children had to be taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

An air ambulance also attended the scene, along with two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle. Beale Park was unavailable for comment.

Passenger David Williams, 26, from Mortimer, told the BBC he was on the train with his partner, who suffered bruising to her legs.
