Posted for the photographer, Dennis Mitchell:
A couple more 4-8-2s going about their business.
Pic 1. This is class 23 Nr 3235 out and about through the temporary trackwork of Bloemfontein as the yard was being rebuilt for electrification. The train appears to be a local (Thaba Nchu?- all the brains trust please help). 9 October 1974.
Pic 2. Class 15CA Nr 2854 at... either Pretoria or Witbank and I think our train to Nelspruit on 27 October 1974. Once again any help would be appreciated.
