Hi every-one!
Recently I found to links on http://www.youtube.com of Hungarian & eastern Europe steam in action, namelt a "Steam Locomotive Grad Prix", which took place in the summer of 2004, at the Hungarian Railway Museum complex, base at the old steam locomtovice depot and roundhouse, adjacent to main Budapest North Railway Station.
Here are the links, please have a look at them;

An idea certainly we at FOTR, RS, Sandstone and Umgeni Steam should look at as an annual event, to generate more public awareness through SA and the rest of the world, about our efforts in preserving steam, in the context of latest colabrations between the above mentioned groups to raise 1 000 000 pounds sterling, for our efforts to continue to keep steam on SA's mainlines, ect.
These annual events should rotat between different depots each year!
Let's get the steam power wheels turning on ths idea, however we'll need the buy-in of the RSR and Transnet Freigh Rail!
Regards
Gabor
