Kenya: grey coach?

Anyone know anything about this grey-liveried coach?

Having looked at it again in real life, and seen a few other coaches gradually turning the same colour, I now suspect that this is just a faded version of the normal Kenya Railways brown colour. The brown has weathered to grey. I remember Garratts 5918 and 5930 used to stand outdoors at the museum sporting an interesting desert yellow livery - took me a while to realise that this was just the way the maroon had faded, maybe a particular poor batch of paint of something.
