About the Summit

As 2010 business outlook looks positive for Africa characterized by the expanding and booming economies and the expanding network of trade links in the region, a sound and efficient transportation infrastructure as backbone of trade and logistics has become critical not only to increase the efficiency of international trade transport corridors, but also to strengthen regional links/integration among its neighbors.

It is against this background that the Africa Road and Rail Infrastructure Summit 2010 is organized to provide an ideal platform to profile the transport (rail and road) infrastructure sector and to exchange ideas, discuss and share information on the road/rail infrastructure challenges and solutions, highlighting on technologies, innovation, efficiency and expertise for optimized capacity in the sector. Approaches towards an investor-friendly policy frameworks that emphasize development in the sector will also be a focus of the summit.
