3020 in steam again!

I was privileged to be on the footplate when 3020 made a trial run under her own steam this afternoon. Yesterday she was in light steam. Today she set back out of the works and then ran through the station and yard up to the Mombasa Road and back again. Retired driver Benjamin was at the regulator, James was firing. There were no major problems. Next week she will get some fresh paint, ready for her wedding outing on 1st May. Thanks to Maurice, Ben and all the others who got 3020 back in service.
I'll gradually post pictures on the FOTR Forum (Kenya steam section of the Rest of Africa photo gallery) - loads of people were taking photos and promised to send them to me. I'll be down at the workshop tomorrow morning and on and off during the week, and hope to get more photos.
