1928 by H G Gawthorn.

A real classic as well - and an excellent art of work in its own right that aptly conveys the brooding bulk of the bridge.

The actual bringe was designed by Sir John Fowler and SIr Benjamin Baker to connect the East Coast route between London and Aberdeen.

It was opened by the Prince of Wales in 1890.
