A few years back a FOTR crew had the privilege of operating David Shepherd's 15F 3052 with him on board.The famous wildlife and railway artist David Shepherd leans out of the cab of his locomotive BR 9F No 92203 Black Prince to watch the fly-past of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) which is the Royal Air Force flight commemorating World War II comprising an Avro Lancaster, a Supermarine Spitfire and a Hawker Hurricane. The fly past was a personal thank you to David for a day the crews spent with him and his loco on the GWR. This shot was later presented to David by Steam Railway Magazine.
