Ek sou graag wou sien wat daar staan, maar het nie toegang tot 'n kopie nie, sal dit dalk moontlik wees om dit hier te transkribeer?

Ek's jammer, maar daar is kopiereg op als in die tydskrif en siende dat ek self joernalistiek swot, gaan dit oneties wees as ek die storie oortik, al gee ek krediet aan die joernalis(te). Ek sal kyk of ek toestemming by die redakteur kan kry om dit oor te tik.

Thanks, Arno. Ek sal dit onthou en op die uitkyk wees. Terloops, let 'n bietjie op hoeveel van die artikels wat in Weg! gepubliseer word, verskyn ook so 2 of 3 maande later in Getaway...

Ek lees glad nie Getaway nie juis as gevolg van dit (en ook 'n paar ander redes). Maar nou ja, dis 'n spoorweg-forum dié, nie 'n besprekingsforum oor wie watter reistydskrif verkies en hoekom nie. ;)

The administrators have had some PM's asking what this thread is about !!!!

Answer....basically discussion over magazine articles. In brief see the gist below, which I think is roughly correct (I had to use a translator so if it is not right the authors can correct me). Hopefully the PM's will stop now??!!

The article refered to is also in Afrikaans (as it is an Afrikaans magazine) - use an Afrikaans/English Translator - search on Google.

Alida - Afraid not - copyright. You can look at http://www.weg.co.za October issue number 60. (Weg is an Afrikaans magazine).

Alida - Thanks Arno. I will it remember and be on the look out. By the way , l bet on how much of the articles in Weg appear also 2 or 3 months later in Getaway. . .

Translation is, except for a few too direct translations, correct. Article also in the English version of the Weg magazine, if I remember correctly called "GO" and FOTR has been informed that there will be an article in the Getaway magazine (November edition) as well.

My apologies to the English-speaking people who didn't understand what we were going on about. I will try my best in the future to remember that not everyone can understand Afrikaans.
By the way, Arno, you're right, the English version of Weg! is Go!.
