E1474 und E1464
When I arrived in Worcester I was surprised to see the Blue train standing there.
It was also not so easy to get good pictures of the locos because the sunlight came at that time for the trains to Cape town from the wrong side.
But I tried my best and here you can see the result.
All pictures were taken on 30.10.2009.

Interesting shots. I especially like the last one with the Mountains in the back. I wonder where the 14E was. (Blue Train normally pulled by 14E's) Andreas, what time of the day was this taken? The Blue Train should run through there at about 9am. Was this a possible special from George and Port Elizabeth?

Hello Stefan,
the pictures were taken between 9:24 and 9:33 - some minutes later I filmed the departure of the train.
14E's? I'm not sure if I saw already a 14E in this forum. In my book about South African locomotives is no picture.
Ah, found just a picture of the 14E 100 here in the forum. I think I'm glad that I could take these photos still with the 6E1 series.

I wonder if PRASA will get it right to buy the Blue Train with all their financial wows with Metrorail and Shosholoza Meyl? I have heard that they are making inquiries to buy.

Paying R1,00 for a train like the big B is not TOO much to fork out...
