Indeed very interesting. Also noticed that the sleeper distance seemed to be quite a bit less than the 800mm we have here.

I found it fascinating, especially as you and I, Tom, had been watching our blokes digging out sleepers and ballast the old-fashioned way by hand and jacking up the rails with heavy jacks at Hermanstad only a couple of days ago!
