HRC 2460 is the two-position shunt signal in the platform at Hercules Station which gives us authority to set back towards our new site. There's a second shunt signal, a one position shunt signal, just beyond the platform. In this shot, taken from the caboose, we have "45" and the guard is talking the driver back.

New signals to be learnt. Shunt signal at Hercules calls the FOTR train on, so it can enter the shunt yard and new site area at Hercules. In the background is the next shunt signal fitted on the same post as the route indicator.
