14. June 2008 - Gosh, how time flies when you are having fun

Sure! A couple of people wondered what had happened - great engineering operations undertaken adn going forward, and then all of a sudden - a great silence!
Developments?
Had this gone the way of most model railways?
Happily, the answer is no!
You may recall that in January we reached the stage whenre the bottom track had been completed and all the wiring and control panel put into place. This then left the track in the state below - RUNNABLE.
Two considerations then came into play - the fact that a breathing space was required in relation to finances, and also the fact that everyone could now run trains.
Running trains then started and everyone has been quite happy the few months charging around the track. An important side issue issue also is that the track shown will be covered up, so this gave everyone the time to iron out any running snags with the track, using different locos and stock.
All being well, the decision was then made in the start of June to go ahead with the next stage........of building.....
