My Aunt sent some of my Late Uncle's RR photo collection. He worked on RR for many years. I include class 14 and 15. I hope I am correct as my knowledge of RR Loco's is poor. All photos taken in the Bulawayo sheds. These photos were probably taken in the early 1970's

Really nice photos. I was last there in 2001 prior to elections. It is a really nice shed to visit especially at first light.

Great photos. I've got some I took there in 2000 which I must scan and post eventually.

At least two, and possibly all, of these photos were taken a good deal later than the early 1970's as suggested.

14A Class, 517, is a refurbished example, identified by the larger front tank. According to Pattison and Durrant this loco re-entered service after refurbishment in July 1980, so the photo couldn't be earlier than that.

15 Class, 3xx, is also a refurbished loco, identified by its nameplate. Locos of this class were refurbished between 1979 (two examples in the 4xx series) and 1982 (Pattison/Durrant) and so again this photo cannot be earlier than 1980.

14th Class, 507. I would suggest that this is also an early 1980's photo, but cannot confirm. 507 was one of four 14th Class overhauled at Bulawayo in 1979/1980. It was used for shunting at bulawayo entering the Museum in working order in 1985 (Pattison/Durrant).
