Premium Express started operating as of yesterday on the CT - Strand via Mutual line. Very sleek looking set and crews are extremely friendly.
Normal procedure is for the Express to cross the metro trains at Somerset West at 06:30 and again at 18:01. The metro train runs onto the platform line and then drops off or collects its pax. Then it sets back and enters the loop line. Express then arrives and used platform line. Four TCO's were noted on duty in the signal cabin, but presume only at peak times. Van Schoor machine in full operation here as well.
Unknown if the freight trains cross here.
