Not quite Stefan!

They are to be used, when the Class 24 - 3664, has her connecting rods and motion removed, as the locomotive is due to be re-bushed soon.

The trestles will be used to place the rods and motion on, to keep them for lying on the sandy ground and preventing dirt build-up while the new bushes are manufacutred!

Some idiot has put connecting rods on top of the hurdles, which will make it very difficult for the athletes to jump over them...

Is FOTR also going to put Vesconite bearings on their locos now?

No, Luca. We have already had new bushes cast. They now need to be indivdually machined to size. Vesconite cannot handle the high forces that the con-rod journals have to endure. RS has sucessfully used Vesconite for the bushes on the lighter loaded valve gear, I believe.
