When I was in George I took a picture of this signal.
I hope anyone of you can tell me the meaning of this signal?

I believe it's a marker to indicate the position of a fire hydrant, which can be seen in the photo next to it.

Just noticed in the fire marker picture there is asignal wire appearing to come from the points. Are ther catch points nearby?

Prob compounded points or its connected to a "Derailer"

Yes there are several derailers in the yard. Also some wires are still there from the old lever frame. I really don't understand why they did not leave the home signal for the then Knysna service.
