More action at Midhants

Photos of motive and rolling stock, stations, signals and anything else train related in U.K. & Ireland! Photos should be 800x600 pixels, maximum size 130K. Very good ones will be moved to the Online Gallery, the rest will be pruned away after 14 days to conserve space.

More action at Midhants

Post by Chris Janisch »

Trains on the day of my visit were hauled by 9F 92212, and unrebuilt green ex-SR West Country Pacific 34007 "Wadebridge". Sets were made up of Southern green sitters, and fitted nicely into the Hampshire scenery. One loco ran from each end, crossing midway, and then returning tender-first, a total of 3-4 trips in each direction being made.

Really great photos from Chris here.
We stayed near there last year, glorious place, lots of large engines in the depot, in steam was the same Bulleid Pacific 'Wadebridge' and A4 Pacific 'Bittern. The Class 9F 92212 had just been repainted and looked very good.
I've added a photo I took in Alton Station, possibly Chris saw a similar scene.
Cheers Bernard.
