Footplate breakfast

Post by John Ashworth »

What could be better than a toasted bacon sandwich cooked on the shovel and a mug of tea made in the firebox?

The fire has been banked all night and not yet pushed open for the day's work, but it's still hot enough for cooking. The bacon has already been fried on the shovel and the sandwich is now getting a final toasting

That was Johns (explains why he always has indigestion). Nathan had a piece of dry bread (explains why he always has indigestion).

John

I can smell the bacon from here, would you please blank-out the photo it is not doing by diet any good!

To all those who say electric traction is better than steam motive power, try cooking that on an electric loco!

Cheers
