- A brace of 18E electric locomotives is held in the hole for the FOTR Tshwane Xplorer. Drifting down into the main yard, a good fire has been laid on for the clmb around the balloon at Pyramid South yard

- The Tshwane Xplorer really travels mostly through suburbia, except for one section near Pyramid South. Yet, we cannot escape progress, and in the distance the cluster of buildings of the national roads Petroport breaks the bushveld scene, as the train enters the balloon of the marshalling yard.
Motorists on the highway will now witness the spectacle of steampower so
near to them. - TSHWANEXPLORER24FEB2008 020.jpg (43.75 KiB) Viewed 1150 times

- Looking back on the load as the train curves on the balloon at Pyramid South, we see the lure of the locomotive draws curious heads to witness the locomotion!

- On the return leg of the Tshwane Xplorer, a new addition to our fleet was collected at Pretoria North. This third class sitter will hopefully be restored.

For the record, the "new" coach shown in Nathan's last photo is 25897, a third class sitter.
