Class 39 on test

Post by John Ashworth »

Nathan wrote:Newly outshopped, class 39-002 diesel locomotive crawls upgrade to
Centurion with her block load, near Fountains, with two locomotives coupled
behind her, of which the centre one is a blue liveried 34 class and the
trailing loco a 39. New Transnet Freight Rail colours make a nice contrast
to the Rovos Rail green of their 19D locomotive and train, en route to
Capital Park
Chris J wrote:The middle unit is actually the first 39-001. These 3 locos are busy testing around Pretoria and have been seen also by Eric Samuels on the same block load of ore at Kloofsig - he reckons it was about 5000 ton which explains the upgrade thrash seen by Nathan
