Yesterday, between the Lenasia and Midway stations at around 07:15 am 160 commuters +/-, were injured (11 seriously) when two Metro passenger trains collided (rear-ended). Happily there were no deaths.
Cause is at the moment unknown.
Other current news on this incident is very sparce, with no statements or other details available.

Metrorail said that in the incident, signalling equipment had been struck by lightning in the morning, leaving drivers dependent on manual authorisation from control officers before crossing signal points.
"As a result, the track circuit which relays the signal that authorises train movement was mistiming and gave a green signal to the second train while the first train had not cleared the section completely," Montana said.
