"Lovers" Initiate our 2009 Season

Post by Tom Macrery »

"Lovers" came aplenty. Lovers of steam, that is! The queues and platform and carriages and parking were chock-a-block. Rose petals and sweets for the ladies were an added touch.

I do like the well-trimmed grass along the platform tracks. Looks much better than dirty gravel. But it must be kept constantly mown for personnel safety and to prevent wheel-slips... oh and to be able to see the points blades postions from a distance.
