Some shots of the heritage activity on the 24th- a big train loadingh almost 600 pax, well done again to all staff concerned.
The opportunity was taken by Rovos to pass out a new driver, Daantjie Hanekom. He used to drive 25NC 3467 'Carolyn" at Beaconsfield- and being an ex-Trans-Oranje driver he passed out no problem. Accompanying him on the footplate was Peter Odell, he of 3441 "Karoo Conqueror" fame. It was indeed a special reunion, 17 years since steam ended in Kimberley.
